SECURITY.

Use of professional equipment for maximum protection and efficiency by adjusting Innovative artificial intelligence technology enhances the safety factor.

Some benefits of surveillance cameras.

Monitoring systems are among the most widespread and beneficial security products. Especially in the turbulent environment we live in today, their many advantages include effective crime prevention as well as an effective means of surveillance that if needed is a good source of forensic data.

Surveillance cameras were originally intended only for video recording, but the sheer number of cameras, the amount of data, and the demands of security and law enforcement have led manufacturers to raise the bar and provide a wide range of advanced features

Below we’ll take a closer look at some of the benefits of a surveillance system and unfold the reasons why you should consider this security feature for your home or business.

1.Motion detection.

Motion detection is one of the most important advantages of the tracking system. On-demand logging is one of the most useful features of modern systems. It’s especially useful in areas with infrequent access, where continuous recording throughout the day will give you tens of hours of footage from a door and maybe thirty seconds of people walking in and out.

Surveillance systems with motion detection support allow you to set your camera to start recording only when it has detected motion within its field of view. This way only the footage that contains relevant data will be saved. This saves you money on storage, backup and archiving and makes it easier to browse and retrieve data when you need it.

  1. Infrared lighting.

Like all cameras, surveillance cameras can only record objects if there is some amount of light falling on them. However, this light does not necessarily belong to the visible spectrum. One of the biggest advantages of surveillance cameras lies in its infrared capabilities.

Surveillance cameras have built-in infrared LEDs, which they can use to illuminate objects in their field of view. This allows the cameras to see at night as well.

  1. Two-way audio.

Two-way audio is one of the most overlooked advanced system features. Two-way audio allows the operator to converse with the person in front of the camera. The conversation itself can be recorded and archived, just like any other kind of material.

Two-way audio is primarily useful for interactive access control systems where access to a restricted area must always be confirmed or controlled by a human operator. However, it is also useful in many other situations.

  1. Automatic license plate recognition.

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) is an advanced feature that allows video analysis software to automatically detect and read vehicle number plates.

The value of this system lies not so much in the functionality itself (which is interesting, but otherwise little more than an exercise in computer vision) but in its integration with archiving, access management and parking management software, and the value of the data it can provide.

You can use ANPR to:

Facilitate access to the parking lot.

Reduction of transit times.

Maintain accurate real-time data on how many parking spaces are being used and by whom.

Control and record access to a building’s parking areas.

  1. Facial recognition.

New age technology is one of the advantages of the tracking system and this is where facial recognition comes into play. Facial recognition is to human faces what ANPR is to vehicle license plates: it allows a security system to match a person’s face to an internal database file, telling you who just passed in front of the camera.

Facial recognition is a very powerful feature that is used in many situations where security or customer service is of utmost importance. It can be used, for example, to locate and track VIP customers in hotels or casinos, or, just as well, to identify people who are no longer allowed on a business’s premises or suspected criminals.

  1. Other video analysis functions.

ANPR and facial recognition are the most advanced video analysis features offered by surveillance systems. However, many systems offer other useful video analysis features, such as:

Wander detection: some systems can detect a stationary object that remains in a camera’s field of view for more than a certain amount of time. This can be used to detect unauthorized access, parking in restricted areas, and various other types of suspicious behavior.

Object classification and tracking: many systems can detect and classify objects into different categories such as faces and vehicles and track their movement across their entire field of view or across multiple cameras.

  1. Real-time notifications.

Real-time notifications (sometimes called push notifications) are a relatively new feature of surveillance cameras. Systems that support this feature can issue a notification to a smartphone or tablet in response to certain events, such as motion detection.

Real-time notifications are a very useful feature, but should be deployed with care.

A system that issues too many useless alerts will quickly bury the useless alerts in a stream of irrelevant material which tends to reduce rather than increase security, as everyone will quickly end up assuming that every alert is false.
